Space Ceiling & Aray Design Studio

A Trade Partnership Built Through Real Projects

Some working relationships are chosen deliberately. This one grew from experience.
We first crossed paths with Space Ceiling's founder, Aivaras Mulskis, during a project at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, a complex healthcare environment where precision in every trade mattered. Years later, our paths crossed again on a very different project: a custom architectural dome at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Calgary, where the ceiling was not a background element but the central feature of the space.
That is what a working relationship looks like when it is worth keeping. Different projects, different briefs, and the same standard of communication and execution each time.

WHAT SPACE CEILING DOES

transforming spaces with modern interior design solutions

Space Ceiling specializes in stretch ceiling systems, architectural ceiling features, and integrated lighting solutions for commercial and institutional environments. Their work sits at the intersection of technical installation and visual outcome. They are not simply executing a spec. They are helping realize a design intention in a material that demands precision.

What has stood out to us across both projects is the way Aivaras and his team approach coordination. They ask the right questions early. They understand that a ceiling feature does not exist in isolation from the lighting plan, the acoustic requirements, or the broader design intent, and they engage with those relationships rather than working around them.

Why Space Ceiling

Why we bring Space Ceiling to the table

We refer trade partners when we are confident that the quality of their work reflects on Aray as well as on them. Space Ceiling meets that standard. For projects involving specialty ceiling systems, whether that involves a complex architectural feature, an acoustic treatment requirement, or a ceiling detail that needs to integrate cleanly with a designed lighting solution, they are the contractor we would bring to the table.

"Space Ceiling understands that a ceiling feature is never just an installation. Aivaras and his team engage with the design intent, not just the spec, and that makes a real difference in the finished result.”

Working together on your project

If you are considering a ceiling feature that needs to be both technically sound and design-forward, we are happy to talk through whether the project is a good fit. The best outcomes we have seen come from having the right specialists engaged before the decisions are locked in, not after, and that is a conversation we are glad to start.
